How our adventure started

We have been living in the Pacific Northwest for a couple of years now. We live in Oregon wine country and have only been to a couple of wineries, over and over again. We had friends come for a visit; they asked us how wine was at other wineries. My husband and I looked at each other, you know that stupid stare that speaks volumes, and shrugged out shoulders, we had no idea how the wines were. We were in a rut and needed to go explore our neighboring wineries, as there are many. We aren't wine specialists, but we know what tastes good and what doesn't. We have decided to go to a winery a week and have been doing this for about a month know. So I thought I would share our discoveries with you, should you happen to fine yourself in Oregon you may want to visit these wineries yourself.

Redhawk Winery

Redhawk is one of our favorites. This is one of the first wineries we went to when we first moved here. John has made some great wines, we have never been disappointed. They have a Pinot Gris, two Chardonnays, (one steel and one barrel) Grateful Red, a blend (hubby loves it)
several Pinot Noir's, Pinot Rose, Cabernate Sauvignon, and Redhawk Red, Dolcetto, Tempranillo, and a dessert wine Tempranllo port. They have a great view with Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson in the distance.

We will be going to a club pick-up party this weekend; after which I will have details on the new wines for this year.
