How our adventure started

We have been living in the Pacific Northwest for a couple of years now. We live in Oregon wine country and have only been to a couple of wineries, over and over again. We had friends come for a visit; they asked us how wine was at other wineries. My husband and I looked at each other, you know that stupid stare that speaks volumes, and shrugged out shoulders, we had no idea how the wines were. We were in a rut and needed to go explore our neighboring wineries, as there are many. We aren't wine specialists, but we know what tastes good and what doesn't. We have decided to go to a winery a week and have been doing this for about a month know. So I thought I would share our discoveries with you, should you happen to fine yourself in Oregon you may want to visit these wineries yourself.

Getting Started!

Back in June when I started this blog I thought I had all the time and energy to get this and everything else done. Ha! Life goes on and now I will be playing catch up. I have kept notes on all the wineries we have visited, most of which we enjoyed. I must say we have had a great time and have met some wonderful people.

To pinpoint our location in Oregon the wine growing region is the Eola-Amity Hills. There are over 20 wineries in this region. We started by going to the wineries closest to our house first and moved on from there. We also decided we would only go to one winery a day; this way we go in fresh each winery.

Hopefully we will introduce you to some wineries you may want to try on your own.
